Many Charlie Johnson Homes are designed to include an optional SAFE ROOM.  These rooms are designed and engineered to withstand 250mph winds, and have been reviewed by FEMA and the National Storm Shelter Association.  Poured solid concrete block reinforced with steel on all four walls plus a 4 inch thick concrete ceiling, can serve as protection during hurricanes, tornadoes, and even burglary.
